Hi, I’m Prateek Jain, and I come from Faridabad, Haryana. Like many kids growing up in India, I found my identity early through sports. Over the years, I trained hard, competed even harder, and proudly won medals at the district, state, school nationals, and national level. Those moments on the field, hearing my name announced, standing on podiums—that was my world.
But life had different plans for me.
When Passion Meets Reality
As an athlete, I was always chasing that next milestone. But along the way, I faced setbacks—financial difficulties and a few injuries that took a toll on both my body and my dreams. After giving it my all for years, I had to make the hardest decision of my life: to step away from competitive sports.
It wasn’t just the physical pain. It was the emotional weight of watching everything I had built slip away. But deep inside, I knew I wasn’t done—not with sports, not with the spirit I carried.
A New Dream Begins
Once I stopped playing professionally, I didn’t stop thinking like an athlete. I had lived that life—I had trained in the worst conditions, worn uncomfortable sportswear, and struggled to find gear that truly supported performance.
That’s when the idea hit me:
Why not create a brand that understands athletes, because it’s made by one?
And so, I started working silently, piece by piece, building what would soon become Athlayer—a brand born out of personal experience, not market trends.
Building Athlayer from the Ground Up
I didn’t want to create “just another sportswear brand.” My goal from day one was clear:
To build the best-quality sportswear in India that fills the gaps other brands ignore.
I spent months researching, testing, and personally choosing the best manufacturers, suppliers, and performance fabrics. I didn’t want generic materials—I wanted specific fabrics suited for different sports, whether it’s running, gym training, football, or even daily activewear.
I focused on fit, comfort, durability, and above all—functionality. Because as an athlete, I knew what mattered when you’re on the move.
Why Athlayer?
- I named the brand “Athlayer” because I believe every athlete deserves a second skin—a layer of support that moves with them, breathes with them, and helps them push boundaries.
Athlayer is not just for pro athletes. It’s for:
The college student training at 6 AM. - The office-goer hitting the gym after work.
- The weekend footballer who still plays with heart.
- And even for someone who just wants comfortable, premium athleisure wear for daily life.
Every piece of clothing I’ve launched so far is designed with intention. The material may be limited, the inventory may be small, but the quality is truly one of the best. I don’t compromise—and never will.
The Mission Ahead
My mission is simple but powerful:
To make Athlayer India’s most trusted and performance-driven sportswear brand.
Not a flashy brand. Not just a trend. But a community, a movement, and a voice for every Indian sportsperson who feels unseen.
Through Athlayer, I want to support athletes not just with clothes—but with products that perform under pressure, inspire confidence, and remind them they belong on the field, no matter what challenges come their way.
Where I Am Today
Right now, I’ve launched a focused line of performance gear—each designed for function, fit, and long-lasting quality. From moisture-wicking T-shirts to stretchable shorts, everything is built to withstand intense workouts and daily wear but this is just the beginning.
I’m currently working on expanding the line—more sport-specific collections, collaborations with real athletes, and possibly a retail and digital presence that reflects our values.
I know there’s a long way to go, but I also know I’m walking this path with purpose.
Final Words from Me
If you’ve ever been told to quit, if you’ve ever had to give up something you love, I want to tell you this—you can rebuild. You can take your story and shape something new, something bigger.
Athlayer is that for me. It’s more than a brand. It’s my comeback.
Thank you for reading my journey. I hope you wear Athlayer not just because it looks good—but because it feels right and it stands for something real.
Let’s build something powerful together—one layer, one athlete, one dream at a time.
